Dean

 Prof. Dr. Mutlu AYTEMİR

Graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Pharmacy in 1992. In 1994, she began her position as a "Research Assistant" in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at H.U. Faculty of Pharmacy. In 1995, she received the title of "Master of Science". Between 1998 and 2000, she completed her doctoral thesis work with Prof. Dr. Robert C. Hider at the School of Pharmacy, King's College, University of London, in England, and received the title of "Doctor"; she received the title of "Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical Chemistry" in 2004, and the title of "Professor" in 2010. She has received the following awards: the Novartis Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry, Drug Design and Development Research Awards Third Place Award (14.04.2005); the Turkish Pharmacists' Association Academy of Pharmacy Incentive Award (12.5.2006); the L'Oréal Turkey Young Women in Science Fellowship Program Life Sciences 2007 Award, supported by the Turkish Academy of Sciences (25.01.2007); the Hacettepe University Medicine and Health Sciences Incentive Award in Science 2009-2010 (01.07.2010); the "Silver Medal" at the Istanbul International Invention Fair ISIF'17, organized by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office (05.03.2017); the "IFIA Best Academic Invention Medal" at ISIF'18, awarded by the International Federation of Inventors' Associations (IFIA) (29.09.2018); the "Silver Medal" at ISIF'19 for the invention titled "Anticancer and Antityrosinase Activities of Kojic Acid Derived Compounds" (26.09.2019); and, within the scope of the 9th R&D Project Market organized by the Istanbul Chemicals and Chemical Products Exporters' Association (İKMİB), both the Success Story Award and the 2nd Place Award in the "Cosmetics, Soap and Cleaning Products" category (21.11.2020).

She holds memberships in the Turkish Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry Association, the H.U. Pharmaceutical Chemistry Research and Development Association (member of the Audit Board, 21.04.2005-2007), FABAD Pharmaceutical Sciences Ankara Association, the H.U. Faculty of Pharmacy Alumni Association, the Association of Drug Researchers and Practitioners (member of the Board of Directors, treasurer, since 2015), and the American Chemical Society (ACS/2011-2020). She has served in the following roles: Member of the H.U. Science and Art Awards Evaluation Commissions – Medicine and Health Commission (2012-2013); Secretary General of the Hacettepe Education, Research and Service Foundation (06.06.2012-22.10.2014); Coordinator of the Faculty Member Training Program (ÖYP) (12.3.2012-17.12.2015); Member of the H.U. Faculty of Pharmacy Administrative Board (19.12.2017-14.02.2019); and Member of the Administrative Board of the Center for Women's and Family Studies Application and Research.

Her number of citations to articles published within the scope of SCI is 1723, and her h-index is 21. She has 31 scientific project studies, 40 national and international scientific articles, 7 book chapters, and 100 oral/poster presentations to her name. She holds registered Turkish, American, and European patents. In 2016, she founded Koji Cosmetic Chemistry Industry and Trade Incorporated Company (Koji Kozmetik Kimya Sanayi ve Ticaret Anonim Şirketi). She has served as Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at İzmir Katip Çelebi University and as President of the Council of Deans of Faculties of Pharmacy. She currently continues her duties as Acting Dean of Hacettepe University Faculty of Pharmacy and as a faculty member in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at Hacettepe University Faculty of Pharmacy.
